Refugees in their own country 

they engage in criminal acts

surreptitiously.

Some buy wilted cabbage

braving the lathi, 

refusing to starve silently.

Others take to the road 

walking miles and miles

under the relentless sun

babies and bags in tow,

to shuttered borders

Some turn away 

onto oncoming trucks

and end their wayward attempt

to survive poverty 

in the time of Covid-19.

Walking miles for nights and days

To have borders closed in your face 

thoughts today

It's nearly april

And I wonder 

If the world will ever be the same again 

April 1st. 1000 cases in sg now. 1000. That's something. 3 deaths so far.

A pre school and am old folks home a cluster

Sg has 32 imported and 34 new local cases 17 unlike. Something like that. 

Largest single day spike.  Largest local cases.  Largest unlinked cases. 

New world today outside my window

New norms

People may lose their jobs. Have no food. 

Countries on lock down. How long more can sg hold out for? 

My friends all over the world

Like to think the nz folk are safer . 

Praying for my friends in europe. 

New world where nowhere is safe

Did I write all that yesterday? 

Seems an age ago

Day before we had 73 cases. Highest yet. Yesterday we had 50 plus cases I think.  

Regentville condo we have one case in block 5

Many prenscools have closed. After a pcf centre had it and became a cluster. They had training for others. That shouldn't have happened. We had instructions. No pd for 2 weeks. 

Today I stopped by the temple..god was a safe distance from us. 

Only 10 nallowed in at  a time and around a narrow space fenced in. No privacy to stand and pray.  I took longer signing in than praying 

I shall just drive by and pray from outside as I did the past two days next time 

Yesterday a squirrel came near me. Today a cockerel. I feel god in these sweet creatures. I talked to them! Give the cockerel some apple. Bit then the pigeons descended haha and I sped away the pigeons. There are more than ever. They had got used to eating prasadham I think. And now there is none. They too are congregating outside the temple. 

Well. We may never need to see one another in person again at this rate. 

Every wedding now is like a thirutu kalyanam.  Just the couple the witnesses -one each- and the priest.

Finally the 4 have been hanged. 

They lived and laughed for over 7 years after brutally killing a young girl, a 22 year old aspiring doctor. This was the infamous 2012 delhi bus rape case. 

Quite unrepentant till the end too I believe. 

I can't post this for fear of spending blood thirsty. But seriously, rape. Violation of a woman, of anyone . Unforgivable really. 

In society that does t make it crystal clear that it is wrong to violate a woman. That women exist to be violated. Like blacks existed to  e used by whites.  Mindsets. 

From the great heroes in epics they learn  women are property. 

Times have changed. The epics were literature for their times. Nec ro be updated in new times.

Or leave cancer untreated and let patients die

Or go anyway and risk spreading the cold? 

Social distancing for others not ourselves 

Because we could  be sick without knowing it

This might mean we may become short of supplies! Something I have never ever experienced. 

Wondering of we should at least buy rice and some canned food. 

Meanwhile, akshaya has got a sore throat and a fever! That strikes such fear in these covid times

Tom Hanks and justin Trudeau's wife got it. So no way are we immune bit one does hope dont we? 

Today is 19 march. Malaysia has 700 cases. USA 5000. Italy 27000. 2500 deaths

Can a country afford to lose 2500 people in 2 weeks?
