What if
These two days
are the last two days
Of school as we know it?
What if
The last time we ate
Mee hoon goreng and prata
Was the last time we ate together?
What if
I chose to stay home to work
Instead of hang out at the zoo
With my two year old niece
With the chubby cheeks and sudden smiles
Who is discovering
Zebras and giraffes exist
Outside of picture books
And now I've missed my chancem
What if
I can never go back
To 12 hour shifts
After having revelled
In the simple pleasure of being
Present
With my children
