Today I returned
to work by bus for the first time in 2 years
Honesty, I couldn’t
recall which line to take, which exit to get out of
If I had
stopped to think, and check schedules and maps
I think
would have been overwhelmed
But
Today I
just followed my instinct
My body
moved ahead of my brain
I found myself
wondering about my directions even as I took them
But what do
you know
I found
myself at work, on time
Without having
thought about it all
Truly
The body
remembers!
